Lễ an táng của cựu Đại Tá Lê Minh Sơn tại nghĩa trang Arlington ngày 8 tháng 10 năm 2015

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Colonel Son (Sean) Minh Le (Ret. USAF), who was called home to God on Friday, 24 April 2015.

Sean was born on May 23, 1960 and raised in Saigon, South Viet Nam. He immigrated to the US in 1975 and resided in Northern Virginia. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He obtained a Master in Business Administration from
National University in San Diego, CA. In 2002, he earned a second Master in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, in Carlisle, PA. Sean Le is the very first Vietnamese Refugee of the 1975 post-war generation to graduate from VMI and first to achieve the rank of Colonel in the US Armed Forces. In 2005, Sean deployed as part of an Air Expeditionary Force for OPERATION IRAQI
FREEDOM. He directed all life support elements for over 7,000 airmen as Chief of Staff of the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, Balad Air Base, Iraq. In 2009, he deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, as the Director of the Armed Contractor Oversight Directorate, HQ US-Forces Afghanistan. After his retirement from the US Armed Forces in Nov 2010, he became a senior consultant with LMI
Consulting. He completed his final deployment to Afghanistan as LMI cadre and remained an LMI employee until his passing.
